Reading (aka chewing): Angus would rather have a book in his mouth than in front of his eyes. His favorite sucking book is "Hello Bee, Hello Me" which is full of mirrors. Every time he sees himself in one of the pages, he's delighted.
Playing:
- Angus plays with mirrors. He loves looking at himself, smiling and kissing himself in mirrors)
- He loves playing "Where's Angus?" We cover him with a blanket and say "Where's Angus?", he figures out how to pull the blanket off his head and then shoots warm, proud, happy smiles everywhere.
Eating: Angus became an eating fiend. His favorite food is bananas, but he also loves oatmeal & yams. Applesauce is still a little tart for Angus. He eats a quarter to half a cup in a sitting and has 2 solid meals a day (lunch and dinner).
Sleeping: Angus is still sleeping well. He goes to bed around 7:30 and wakes up around 5am. Then he eats and takes another nap with mom until around 6:30.
Skills:
- Crawling!
- Going from lying down to sitting without help
- Downward dog
- Going from sitting to standing using crib bars (or anything available)
- Genuinely happy to see and interact with Amelia in the morning
- Not much 'talking' for the first half of the month, but lots of roaring and grunting by the end of the month.
Events:
- Angus met the extended Grivet family for the first time when Patti & Vivi visited from Toulouse France.
- We celebrated Babette's 60th birthday with her friends and family (and the Paella King).
- Alex dropped Angus's crib down to the lower setting. Our little boy has raw launching power.
- The nanny share moved to Amelia's house.
- Angus had his first really hot day. We bought floppy hats & sunglasses. Angus gardened with us, and after being outside for a while, Angus broke a little sweat on top of his lip and the bridge of his nose.
